Nanowrimo - are you participating?

So, now that i've completed my course and have some free time I've decided that I really need to kick my butt into gear and get writing again. It's perfect timing for Nanowrimo, National Novel writing month. I have all these ideas but nothing is seeming to stick at the moment. It's day 2 and I've barely written anything but when one sticks, I'm going to roll with it. Hopefully something amazing comes of this. It's all a matter of picking a genre and sticking with it.

I have to admit, I think i'm putting too much pressure on myself though. Guess it's back to the drawing board.

A little about the author

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.

So, i've been procrastinating and debating over what my first post on here should be about and finally decided it should be about, well me and my work. 

Time to get to know the author. 

Hi, my name is Sherry and i'm 28 years old currently and live in Queensland, Australia. I own my own business Valhalla Crystals and Design and am studying to become a celebrant.

I have certificates in short story writing, novel writing and physics. Ok so I know that ones a bit different but my interests vary and quite frequently. I do have a passion for weather, tornado's in particular. There's just something amazing about how something so beautiful can be so destructive. 

I'm also a bit of a nerd, give me anything sci-fi or mystical and i'm there. I cosplay a few of my favorite characters for con's which is always fun. I have a tendency to read more in those genres as well and want to write a lot more in that area as well. 

I've been writing throughout my entire life and won my first competition when I was in grade 4. That's when I really figured out I wanted to write and be an author. There's nothing better than seeing your creation in print. For years I've been writing fan fiction and short stories but it's only been in the last couple of years that I've taken it seriously. 

I've released a few ebooks but nothing that has stuck. I've since deleted them all in hopes I can revamp and fix the stories previously released for your viewing, well reading pleasure. 

Currently I have two books out: 'The Darkness of Light' and 'Mister Darcy and Cassidy Cade'. Both are available to be purchased in print form from Blurb (Links are in releases page) The Darkness of Light is also available in Ebook. 

I'm sure over the course of time you will get to know me better and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Keep an eye out for competitions, new releases and so much more ahead.
